91-(121) On 26 Jun 1726 CULLEN POLLOCK deeded 1000 acres joining Rosco Creek & Morattock River to Mr. JASPER HARDISON of Tyrrel Co; sd JASPER deeded 100 acres to Mr. BENJN. CARKEET of same, & the rest of the land he willed to his sons; sd JASPER's son JASPER HARDISON sold the 200 acres called Cheet Neck willed to him to sd CARKET (CARKEET); CHARLES HARDISON sold his part of the land (100 acres) to sd CARKEET. The deed, made to sd JASPER HARDISON dec'd had not been acknowledged. Thus CULLEN POLLOCK makes over his right to the sd 400 acres to sd BENJAMIN CARKEET, & he mades over the remainder of the 1000 acres to the same persons as the above JASPER HARDISON dec'd intended. 17 Feb 1740. 4th I give unto my son Archilus Dail, Calvin Dail, Stephen B Dail, A B Dail, Curtis Atlas Dail, Catharine Summerlin all full shares of my property with this exception that my Executor (word cut off) to Atlas after my death $50 more than any of my other children
Itemm 5th I give unto Lemuel Hardison & wife Caroline $1 as their full share of my property.

Those receiving a full share of Thomas Hardison's estate in 1898, after his 2nd wife died: Susan M Jackson, M J Hardison through husband W J Hardison dec, H E Jordan, Allen G Hardison, and Rebecca Williams. Those receiving a partial share: Nettie Robertson, R E Hardison, C G Hardison, J B Hardison, W G Hardison, A T Morgan, A E Jordan, Fannie Horn & J T Williams

Luther Thomas Hardison - Constable Hardison was shot and killed with his own weapon while extraditing a prisoner from Los Angeles, CA, back to FL. As they drove through AL & neared FL the un-handcuffed suspect gained control of Constable Hardison's weapon and shot and killed him. The suspect was apprehended in New York City 7 days later.
Constable Hardison had been the elected constable for 3 yrs but had been in law enforcement for 26 yrs. The position of elected Constable was abolished from FL in 1973. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters. Article
