Know all men by these presents that I Jasper Hardison, Elizabeth Ellis, John Hardison, heirs of Joshua Hardison, heirs of Jesse Hardison, Jess Hardison, James Hardison and Judah Roundtree heirs, have constituted made and appointed & by these presents, do constitute and appoint our Loving Friend Frederick Hardison our true and Lawful Attorney for us - in the name and Stead, and to our use, to ask, demand, Sue for, levey Recover and Receive all such Sums and Sums of money, debts, rents, goods, wears, dues, accounts & other Demands Whatsoever, which are and shall be due, owing, payable and belonging to us, or detained from us, any manner or means Whatsoever by our Cousin Robert Hardison Decsd giving and granting and Granting unto our said Attorney by these presents our free & Whole power strength and Authority in and about the prems to have use & take all Lawful means and ways in our name for the Recovery thereof & upon the Receipt of any such debts, dues or Sums of Money aforsd Acquiters or other Sufficient discharges for us and in our names to make Seal and Deliver & Generally All and every other act & acts, Items and Things, devises in the whatsoever, needful & necessary to be done in about the prems for us and in our name to do Execute & perform, as fully Largely and Amply to all intents and purposes as we our selves might or could do if we were presnally present or as if the matter required more special authority than is hereby given and attorneys one or more under our names for the purpose aforsd to make and constitute & again at pleasure Revoke, Ratify, Allowing and holdig, for firm and effectual all and whatsoever our said Attorney shal Lawfully do in & about the Prems by Virture hereof.

Luther Thomas Hardison - Constable Hardison was shot and killed with his own weapon while extraditing a prisoner from Los Angeles, CA, back to FL. As they drove through AL & neared FL the un-handcuffed suspect gained control of Constable Hardison's weapon and shot and killed him. The suspect was apprehended in New York City 7 days later.
Constable Hardison had been the elected constable for 3 yrs but had been in law enforcement for 26 yrs. The position of elected Constable was abolished from FL in 1973. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters. Article
